Our Heidelberg 5-color 40" Speedmaster with Aqueous Coater.

Available on our Heidelberg 40", 5-color Speedmaster, aqueous coating provides a protective finish that exceeds the quality of varnished materials. This water-based finish dries quickly, and it is resistant to smudges and fingerprints—ideal for solid ink coverage where you want the ink to stay on the paper, and not get on your reader's hands. Plus, aqueous coated material works well with ink-jet printing for direct mailers.

As with varnishes, you can choose the aqueous coating in a dull or gloss finish. Unlike varnishes, though, aqueous coating typically covers the entire press sheet, whereas varnish plates can be created to apply on just parts of the image (spot varnish).
